The Union County Career Exploration & Job Readiness gives local youth an opportunity to intern at local businesses while they discover their passion. This initiative is made possible through a partnership with the Union County Youth Services Commission and will expose youth ages 16-21 to various career paths.

Who we are:
Boxwood Development Services mission is to raise up the champions of this generations! We do this by preparing the youth for academics and personal success.
This program is intended to expose youth to different career paths by
matching local businesses with interns.
We seek to partner with:
1. Businesses that are in need of an intern for a maximum of six weeks, at no cost to them.
2. Businesses that are invested in the success of youth in their community.

Is this program available to all businesses in Union County?
Answer: Yes. The Union County Career Exploration and Job Readiness Program is available to all businesses located in the county’s 21 municipalities.
What kind of training will the program provide for the youth?
Answer: Prior to being placed in an internship, the youth will undergo training on business writing, graphic design, workplace etiquette, website development, and job readiness.
What is the age group of the intern?
Answer: The project serves youth ages from 16 to 21.
